my question is this:
In Nioh 2, before each mission it offers a 'Recommended Level'.
so I am realizing that my 'Recommended Level' is way higher than what it says on the Nioh 2 Wiki.
For example.
Nioh 2 Wiki says that the mission 'Corpses and Ice' is Recommended Level 44.
But I'm playing the game,
And my 'Corpses and Ice' level is a Recommended Level of 66?

Why is my games levelling so much more difficult? It's taking me forever to level up for these main missions.

Very late answer, but in Nioh 2 I just progressed through all the main and side missions normally and I was always close to the in-game recommended mission level, in fact a few levels above it in the early chapters. I never really felt the need to grind for levels. But hey, I'm also really bad at the game so maybe dying to enemies over and over made me get enough amrita to be overleveled? In either case, I wouldn't sweat it. Nioh 2 is grindy, but levels are the one thing that you never really need to farm

Oracle blessing is a must have on ng. Also try getting all the Kodamas if you aren't. Kodama sensor on an accessory is incredibly useful and I always had that

Oh Lord that's the problem. When you're at the shrine, go to Kodama blessing and pick Orcale blessing. It increases the amount of amrita you earn by up to 20%

You need to only choose it once for it to apply to all missions of an entire chapter. Just don't forget to reapply it again when you've entered a new chapter

And again, have Kodama sensor on to pick them up. The strength of the blessing depends on the number of Kodama you've rescued in the chapter. Also having more Kodamas means more free elixirs at the shrine

I personally made sure to get all of them, but if you miss 1 or 2 it's not a big deal. You can see before entering a mission how many kodamas there are available there. You can also see how many you've rescued and how many remain in the mission from the same Blessing screen

the one mistake I was making, is that in the 'Prestige' loadout, I didn't realize there was a second page. I had 36 unspent prestige points, which increased my strength, HP, and endurance

it's certainly not monotonous, but it makes you watch every step for ganks, muuuuch more than the other games

Thing is, Dark Souls 3 has some uncool ganks as well. In DS2, you get ganked by easily killed trash enemies. Stronger ones are more spaced out.
In DS3, you get ganked by Irithyll Knights and Lothric Knights and Carthus Swordsmen + Wardens, and so on. And those enemies aren't easily killed trash

Orphan isn’t BS hard though, that’s the experience I want to overcome a challenge threw 10+ deaths, if I wanted bs hard difficulty I’d just never level up and do a souls level 1 run

I didn’t play the closed network test but his attacks where very dialogued and I could see myself beating him second try or third try though he isn’t one of the main 6 bosses so I’m sure they’ll be more difficult

I can't give screenshots because I didn't take any of it happening. Also keep in mind your playermodel shifted a bit from the spark, which is what will usually happen from a boss attack. Not doubting your screenshot on it's credibility, but it's still a pretty decent hitbox

DS2's hitboxes aren't always bad, but the bad examples are pretty glaring and are substantially worse than most of the other Soul's games. Every game is subject to funny hitboxes, though, and DS2's aren't always that bad... ADP and Agility make them seem far worse than they usually are, though, as do the very jarring teleportation from grabs

In Scholor, at least, the 8-digit walking directions are absolutely awful, and I have no idea whom implemented it but I hope they stub their toe because they couldn't make a slight coarse adjustment and hit their big toe on a wall they would have avoided without the guidance of the sticky directions

I've seen some on YouTube, but some of them like people strafing into the Pursuer greatsword grab is not a case of bad hitboxes necessarily, but just bad players trying to find an excuse

I started with DS1 and so it holds a lot of nostalgia, but I just don't think the bosses are that good. Memorable, yes, but most of them are passable at best and annoying at worst, but never outstanding or bad (minus Bed of Chaos) with a handful of exceptions, mainly Artorias, Kalameet, Gwyn and O&S

Once playing the newer games, before or after your first try with it, DS1 feels like it's going at a snail's pace and is not hard outside of a handful of scenarios. It's the biggest hurdle I have with replaying DS1, is that it's almost mechanical despite how much exploration and how much variety you can take

DS3 is my favorite game, but I love all three of the games for their own reasons. DS1 is clunky and slow, and I enjoy that about the game once I pile on some heavy armor and make a STR build. DS2 has a lot of variety in how you build your character once you pass the ADP hurdle, and while it's my least favorite it's not undeserving of praise and is plenty enjoyable, especially it's exceptional DLC content. DS3 has incredible boss fights and much more refined mechanics, some good and some bad, that make the game feel significantly better then either of the other games

The first arc is much more sexually depraved than anything that comes after. Miura kind of grew out of that. But I totally understand your perspective, it's dark as it gets.

Miyazaki cites it often has one of his largest, if not his largest, influence and there are tons of nods to it throughout all of his games. The whole "badass dude with giant sword" trope that has been used in Final Fantasy and damn near everywhere owes it's lineage to Berserk.

i just wrote a whole argument and it got game ended. in ds1 and ds2 i feel like you can circle strafe but man in ds3 its definetly hard to do that so far

its why i keep my bandits knife on me cause that sidestep is so nice to have.

also how much Vigor should i level up to? i heard that 27 is a good number but most say 30

I think 27 would be fine. Unless you have some extra levels at the end.

I just pumped a few levels into vigor in ds3 at the beginning and then mostly ignored it for the rest of the game, 25 vig with prisoner's chain will get you to 30 so it's decent enough

Twinblades in here are a different thing, they're sabers you can use in both hands, closest thing you're getting to a powerstance in ds3

If you go to Huntsman’s Copse, you can find a scroll of Soul Spear in the wood area inside a hut, through the hole on a roof.
This spell can also be acquired a second time if you plant a bonfire aesthetic down at the second bonfire in the Copse, and will reload another each time you use an aesthetic.
