You should definitely get sekiro its an awesome game although I suggest you finish Elden ring and blasphemous before buying any other soulsborne or soulslike titles

It is also considerably more difficult and has a different combat system than the other soulsborne games so take that into consideration

I know steam has a toggle for them in the settings so could be user error but Playstation controllers are just a bit finicky for windows

PS5 controller generally has much better support and works much more flawlessly, but it has issues with older games (like Kingdom Come Deliverance 1, which I couldn't get to work with it and had to use my PS4 controller + DS4 windows for it)

I found that on the whole, the bosses in Sekiro are somewhat easier to predict compared to souls games when it comes to combos, you really have to embrace the deflect mechanic and realise that you can deflect almost anything, other than the red glyphs, which you either use mikiri or double jump to deal with

If it's taking you 50 tries, you should probably reconsider how you're approaching it, the distance you keep the boss at, getting the deflect timings right, all that, backstepping is basically almost entirely useless

Once you wrap your head around the timing, you might come to find that the timing window for deflecting is often actually quite generous
