it becomes much more satisfying, midgame there's a bossfight that OUH just makes you appreciate the parry system in this game, you'll know when you get there. But it's a very underrated game in general

My only issue with the game is how meta the bosses feel. Like they’ll have stupid crazy delays or very intentionally misleading combos, and how some bosses will attack after they stagger as a bait out. But like, the game itself looks gorgeous, it’s got insanely good music, a cool story, great combat system that gets more intuitive when you upgrade the skill tree stuff. If you’re on the fence about getting it, just wait until it goes on sale

I have a hypothesis about the godskins. In all 5 encounters ( not counting spiritcaller cave) you encounter the same ones, think about it. Godskins can never truly be killed and the fights are like noble: carian study hall -> volcano manor -> duo. Apostle: windmill village -> caleid tower -> duo. It is also how the difficulty of the fights increase, and notice how the 1st two locations are resembling points of interest from the godskins perspective, the 2nd resembles kind of a base where they reside at and the godskin duo is... well they got pissed of and ganged up on you
