that and the consumable that lowers damage taken is also extremely good and cheap to craft

there is also an armor that auto regenerates you to 50% hp anytime you go below that so as long as you are patient this game is mega easy imo

once you unlock the tier 2 and tier 3 charged heavies god they chunk

the tier 3 charged heavies straight up deletes like 20% of most boss HP in one hit

You still feel the tension every boss fight thought. They feel as hard or even harder then fromsoft bosses without them being that hard for some very odd reason. This speak volume to their design team's ability to create experiences without having to number bloat like fromsoft does. I think this is because they hit just as hard as fromsoft bosses, have very similar dance-like tempo that can catch you off-guard, but you have much faster movements than a soul player character counter part, and have emergency transform/immobilization just so you can take a breather.

I remember someone said DS3/ER was like playing bloodborne speed enemies with DS1 character speed. Wukong feels like you're playing Sekiro/DS3 speed enemies with bloodborne character speed.

I’ve only finished the first chapter, I’d say all the bosses were frankly pretty easy compared to ER ones

but that’s also how I felt with sekiro, and I think it’s a very refreshing change of pace from ER where every boss tries to be insanely difficult 😭

I clear like 85% of them first try and I don't even consider myself a very good player

I die to most bosses on elden ring at least a few times and can count on one hand how many bosses I cleared first try on my first playthrough

your character becomes overpowered very quickly in black myth wukong compared to fromsoft games

I think the difference of feel is mainly due to the fact that despite the bosses have very similar output, your player character in ER/Souls is very weak and clunky, where as the player character in Wukong is very fast and responsive. So all things equal, your performance in Wukong will be much better at handling the tasks given.

but the problem with sekiro is that the L1 and umbrella is just too overpowered and have 0 drawbacks, the OP mechanics in wukong has really really long cds so you dont default to abuse them against every problem in existence.

people think it’s gonna be like a soulslike, an elden ring with a gazillion weapons and a focus on gameplay, but the game manages to have insane spectacle in a very good story while still having better combat than elden 😤
