Just wanted to share my experience after finishing shadow of the erdtree. I enjoyed the dlc so much, but tbh I really dread being a part of this community whenever a new game comes around, there’s lots of good folks for sure, and you guys I’m happy are here, but even before I made elden ring videos, I always felt like there’s just this aggressive, hyper elitism I wish we could leave behind.

Had swarms of soulsborne fans just barraging my comments until 3 am with the most bizarre deep seated anger based seemingly on the fact that I … play the game and … dare to include videos of me playing the game, which I do for every game.

I also enjoy many other types of games and I never encounter this in those communities. Like idk if it’ll ever get solved or improve, but communities are stronger when we lift each other up. Diary entry over. Hope y’all have a good night.

I a 100% agree, the gate keepers in this community are just too much. You use a rapier, you are a noob. You use a shield? You are a try hard parry idiot who is also a noob bc everybody can do it. You use a bow? How DARE you exploit range. You use int? You are a noob. Like holy hell

Or with elden ring specialy. You use a corr part of the game (summons)? Yeah no you technically didnt even play it or pass it bc thats not the correct way (like there is a correct way)

Very rare tho, usually the game is like mostly bad and the community is mostly good. Here its like 60% of the community is just tryhard gate keepers who are really toxic, but the game is like actually good

Like sure I do also get annoyed at for example int users in pvp bc its generally boring to play against them for me personally, but that doesnt mean I go around and tell ppl how to have fun

It’s so odd, like my qualifier for a new soulsborne fan is that you play it and you have a good time. I had a dude trying to say I was embarrassing with my enormous health bar… which I have 50 vigor on NG+ at the end of the dlc, I can’t imagine anyone thinking that’s an ‘enormous’ health bar. But basically it’s just a dogpile effect, 1 sees another being bitter and nasty, and 5 more join the party, then 10 more, and my engagement is skyrocketing but that’s not important to me, I like to be a part of a community that’s decent, where we can communicate our shared interests. Anyway, thank you for chiming in and listening to my frustrations, I appreciate you.

Now there are also these chapters of space marines, space marines are basically like the angels of the emperor, reallllllyyy strong. Now there are chapters which all have their leaders (primarchs) which are the emperors sons, every chapter has their colors. For example: ultramarines are blue, salamanders (best space marines) are green and have a symbol of a dragon, imperial fists are yellow and so on

OH the imperium. That is basicaly humanity, Imperium of humanity. Those are the huys you send into war originaly and then if everything goes to shi u send space marines

Also a funny story. So orks dont have hair, they put these small animals which have tails on their heads so it looks like they have hair, and orks hair is REALLY important to them. There was an ork who basicaly traveled back in time and killed his past self so he can have 2 of these small animals

I say Sorcerers in general cuz they refused too be mere puppets or the academy. So he uses some sorceries, such as scholar enchantment and night comet, but not many besides that. My question for such a thing, what would his motivations be beyond simply slaying his Knightly Orders most hated enemy? Why would he try too claim the Elden Ring and become Elden Lord? What about Ranni? Would he or could he reconcile with the first heir in the carian royal line? I’m really just looking for ideas here.

and the dragonfolk agreed, giving magic the the pure-humans.
but the humans tryed to fool the dragons, hoping the use the magic not as a cure, but as a weapon against the transformed, and thus the dragon-human wars started...
after decades of fighting, the humens forgot magic was given to them by the dragoness, and the dragons, who live for millennias if not distrubed, remember the treachery well.

On areas Im not sure but if you want to pvp there is always like a pvp statue that basicaly puts u into matchmaking and then when it finds players you get put into an arena w them, you have the go unlock the arenas 1st in the base game. But items yeah, you dont get any dlc items in base game
