As of 8 AM my time some folks at EAC, specifically TeddyEAC announced that there was no evidence that the RCE was on their end but they're being vigilant in that regard. Looks like the RCE was engine side which makes sense because Respawn has had other RCE problems before and the Source Engine which Apex uses a modified version of has had those problems as well.

The game has a good number of systems built around traveling on foot or via cart. You're skipping a tonne of content by constantly teleporting and it'll impact the gameplay experience.

In that respect, I can understand why they paywalled extras beyond what the devs intended you to have. Even the extras are hard limited too. 10 total placed regardless of if you paid for them or found them.

I tend to stand with devs, and while there are times I would enjoy certain changes, or I'll complain about certain decisions at the end of the day I see it as a Devs responsibility to make the game they want to make. Restrictions and all. If you start trying to please everyone or add setting upon setting that infringes on the design philosophy you wind up sucking the soul out of the project.

Usually games are made with ulterior motives (by big companies), i feel like anyone can make any game with 0 restrictions, if its fun, it will be fun. I get that restrictions design wise can improve the experience but modding can prove that the opposite, look at skyrim modding for instance.

Like.... I'll give an example. Monster Hunter. I would love for the game to feel more fluid instead of overly clunky, even if it was just one weapon type that was like that. I went into a fortnite server and typed "elden ring is the greatest game oat"

Itching to play Bloodborne again and struggling to decide what weapons to focus on. It'll be my third character and with my first two I found myself focusing on two weapons per character, one that's good for handling mobs and another that's good for dueling.

First character I settled on Beasthunter Saif and Kirkhammer. Kirhammer was great for dueling with its high power and Beasthunter Saif had good, wide swings in its extended form. Second character I used the whip form of the Threaded Cain for mobs and for dueling I used that gun-rapier that I can never remember how to spell or pronounce.

For the third character, I really want to use the Hunter Ax. Seems like it'll be a good mob weapon in its extended form. Can't decide on a good dueling weapon. Any recommendations?
