What do we think about Friede’s Great Scythe in DS3 for Dex/Int builds? It’s a cool weapon but it just feels underpowered compared to others. If you can find the sweet spot and get it right every time and they’re weak to frost it seems pretty good, especially if you want to keep your distance in a fight, but like Onikiri and Ubadachi with crystal weapon performs a lot better usually and it does bleed. Personally I use the sell sword twin blades just because I was too lazy to look for more dex weapons after I started the game lmao.

It’s pretty easily parryable and not too great in PVP at that point I might as well use frayed blade

should I buy sekiro as someone who loved elden ring and hates the level design of demons souls and ds3 (if you fight, you die, so basically by running and not fighting at all you get the best chances of completing the level)? the parrying seems really interesting to me.

In Sekiro, you parry or die. Simple as that. I found the game VERY fun, but also VERY challenging. If you liked ER, and want a bit more challenge, Sekiro is absolutely the game to give it to you. I would recommend it, but that's just because I like REALLY challenging games.

sekiro is pure pain and nothing else. you feel powerful after defeating a boss after several hours of trying? well, guess what, the same will be the case with the next boss, and the negative emotions will quickly exceed the positive. 12.5 hours in and I liked exactly one boss fight. no matter if I defeated them or not (yet), I dont think well of the others.

the thing that demotivates me is that no matter where I go, I lose. for example, I have no chance against guardian ape without spirit emblems, which have a really confusing reload system btw, and after exploriung a bit, I encountered the corrupted monk (ghost) and also had no chance at all

You have to approach it differently. Stop thinking like you can easily beat things. The game requires alot of focus and timing. The confidence part is down to you. It’ll frustrate you and get you down but persevere through that and you’ll see yourself get better and better.

Elden Ring can be made easy with certain gear/weapons or even by just overlevelling. You don’t get that with Sekiro.

So don’t think that you can comeback to something later. Try the boss, die to it, even if it’s alot. But with each death you’ll learn, you’ll get sharper. Even if it doesn’t feel like it. And eventually all those pieces will fall into place.

You’ll have to defeat the areas main boss to progress most of the time though. And even then that extra health won’t do you any good if you’re struggling this much.
