Instead of you know, taking damage or using the weapons you got on monsters… nope it just degrades when you die. In Diablo four, instead of equipping, a certain kind of weapon, you have set weapons that deal, bludgeoning damage and sharp damage, but also many others. Now for all my path of exile fans, you know how win that game. You can be a rogue, holding a big mace? You can’t do that. But what about in Diablo two how when you’re a barbarian you can choose your own loadout and choose whether to use a shield or dual weapons…. Wrong again chucklenuts, the game just flat out, takes away the freedom of customization in boy have a not talked about the loot

Do you know how Diablo in path of exile you get a detailed description of what a magic or a rare item does? depends on which one, ds1 is extremely different, the difficulty mostly comes from exploration rather than the bosses, on the other hand, ds3 i think is the closest DS game to elden ring but it still feels very different, it’s very linear and imo is the easiest out of the three.

Some scale with only strength, others strength / dex. You’re able to respec in DS3 (though it can and does lock you out of a questline, sometimes even in NG/+)

If you haven’t played any of the souls games before please start with DS1. It’s a hell of a lot clunkier (stay in light load fr) but you’ll appreciate DS3 so much more

ER was my first souls game and went straight to DS3 afterwards. Heavily regret that decision because I know my first playthrough of DS3 would’ve been so much more valuable had I played DS1 (arguably 2 too though definitely skippable in comparison) first

but definitely don’t mod on your first playthrough if it can be avoided (it definitely can be avoided) on either game.

Hey y'all, this may be totally random but no idea where I could ask this and remain anonymous except discord really, and this is the more active server i am a part of, so figured why not? What do you think happens to us when we die? Am curious to know people's thoughts as I had a run in back when I was 20(10 years ago) when I tried taking myself out, got very close and ended up in a coma for 3 days, but that's besides the point ...after I had that experience my entire dismeanor changed, I was disrespectful and dishonest and after that it was like a switch flipped and I'm the total opposite now. Been thinking about it a lot lately for some reason and am seriously wondering what I experienced (or didn't) that changed my attitude so much. I have faint memories of the whole ordeal but don't know if some of it was hallucinations or what...but don't remember too much. So what do y'all think?
