I'd recommend the forge version of Medieval MC if you have a really good PC, because forge generally has more content, Fabric runs a bit faster but has less mods than Forge in general, though the Fabric Medieval MC is on a more recent version of MC too

If you don't care about the bigger world sizes in 1.18 onwards, and your pc is good, just go with the forge version basically

Ds1 is is slow and methodical, with obvious windows for attack sans artorias- with sekiro you're rewarded for playing aggressively

It’s beating the unbelievably hard boss that makes it worth staying with, if you’re playing sekiro or any souls game tbh there is in fact a way to make the boss at least survivable in order to learn and eventually reduce said boss to trivial. Always a way around,and obviously a mindset you need, which is you’re not going to finish any strong opponent within the first couple of tries, probably not even the first ten, even with the help the game can potentially give you

My thoughts for next FromSoft game like Elden Ring:

• Steampunk: zeplins, guns, magic, swords, trains, psychotic clockwork weapons, monsters, etc.
• Cyberpunk: there's just not a lot of great cyberpunk games out there, and with a FromSoft/Elden Ring approach, it'd be really amazing, I think

I definitely would love for them to do something other than the medieval approach, even though those have been amazing.

Not that Souls were set in such obvious historical allegories, but I really think Miyazaki's themes about cycles and liminal spaces and transitional periods work best as literal period pieces rather than pure fiction

It's easy to drum up a fantasy land with made up mythology, but it's harder and imo a lot more interesting to adapt history to your fiction in unique and meaningful ways. It's what sets Elden Ring's lore and setting apart from that of the Souls series
