yes, weapon upgrades account for the majority of the weapons damage

you can aquire smithing miners bell bearings 1 and 2 by this stage, which will give you infinite purchaseable smithing stones 1, 2, 3, and 4 which = +12 reinforcement

i'd reccomend a higher reinforcement for gelmir, as that is kinda just the catch-up minimum, but you should be relatively fine. Make sure you explore the caves in altus to get more stones

With a bit of practice with the jumping attacks, even though the damage isn't as broken as something like starfist - this is actually a very nice way to fight her

I had a hunch about the arrows since it would be a colossal pain to run out of arrows mid boss fight, but i didn’t know about the free aim!
From what i’ve heard, it also seems like you can apply grease to your bow as well

The precision aiming that you press on L1 is proper 3rd person
Ironeye can also gain height and get more or less above the boss if you have Raider on your team
You can grease your bow
And ironeye can even take ripostes! seems to be able to stab and pull out an arrow in their chest, lol
