Also take off the Mimic hat. It decreases your damage, I believe.

If you want to focus only on faith/spells, then I would change the dragon shield talisman to the other flock talisman... You will take more damage, but you will do more spell damage!

Then for weapons, I would use the two death knight axes... but if you want to focus only on spells, at this point use the one you like best!

Alternatively you use the "milicent prosthesis" and "rotting wing" talismans in place of the flock and dragon talismans to make a dexterity build, but you need a higher dexterity.

id have to sacrifise faith on the caster build for them to scale properly, not an optionm. but their ash is Great!

rotting wing could be an option, would it work on spamming (knight) lightning strike i wonder? I wish we could see ingame when the count resets :/

yh might ditch the dragon shield for flock. it was very useful at low scadu and a couple hours playtime earlier

As for talismans, there are two different herd talismans, one is more powerful than the other and you can equip both!

Also consider the weather conditions, if it rains or there is water if even stronger!

Actually if you want to be sure that nothing gets nerfed, the only build that they never nerf (because it makes the game "easier") is bleeding...

A lot of people use it, but I personally don't find anything that funny about it. It's a matter of taste!

Just helps to have something like it with our a.d.h.d brains; having something that notifies specific team members, visually shows everyone their tasks, commentary and each task's progress can significantly help manage and push forward big projects.

Trying a new RL1 challenge run because I'm getting humbled in the DLC. Margit has always been a tough fight for me though but it's good to know I can still do it.

The idea is to beat the game as John Darksouls. No Ashes of War, no spirit ashes, no stat boosting gear, no physick, no talismans that don't have equivalent rings from DS1, no spells/incants that didn't have versions of them either. Basically if it didn't exist or wasn't possible in DS1 I can't do it here. Kinda mulling over whether to have jump/charge attacks as well.

Funny enough I have other friends that are invested in this run and we've gotten into a discussion about whether or not jump attacks exist at the same level between DS and ER. But I think the poise damage can trivialize some fights so I'm not doing it.

As for the snake pool you just need to run back and the first 2 snakes tend to miss and the third and fourth ones are pretty well telegraphed
The other ones you want to dodge when you see the serpent open it’s mouth, it’s honestly easier to just practice by not swinging at him and learning the timing until it becomes habit
keep in mind that you should try to hit the snake if possible as well during the triple snake combo because (I think?) it takes more damage

Or you can also pray to the rng gods that he does messmers assault after the phase transition explosion and then get a stance break depending on your build
