so, this build is basically building the armor specifically to maximize poise with the lowest weight possible

the arms here are only providing 1 poise and the gold bracelets here are just the lightest equipment at 0.8 weight, but there are an assortment of other arms, and you only need 1 poise to hit 51 anyway (pve breakpoint, light attacks have 50 poise damage), so basically whatever's next lightest works just as fine, just with like 0.3 more weight

yeah, so basically the way poise works is that attacks will do poise damage, and if you have more poise health than what the attack inflicts, you don't get staggered for that hit. the poise will reset after a duration of not being hit (but i forget how long that is). in pve, light attacks you can poise through will do 50 per hit, so 51 poise lets you tank one hit, and 101 tanks two hits (less important). a lot of attacks however will always stagger you anyway no matter how much poise you have, but it can be useful for some of the smaller enemies like rats or dogs

correct, it means you can ignore one lighter hit while fighting stuff, so you cant get stunlocked easily

51 is usually not too hard to hit, while 101 requires a lot of investment for not that much of a difference, so usually 51 is whats recommended for pve. otherwise its just whatever fashion you want, unless there are applicable passives an equipment can provide (like the raptor's black feathers chest providing 10% jump attack damage)

First of all, holy buffs.

Second of all, there's your problem. You're running right into his giant hairy arms and instead of doing a normal follow up, he's doing the delayed double retreating slash.

If you want a more consistent time, what you want to do is bait out that opening leaping thrust he does and then dodge from side to side. Dodging too far away stops his combo.

Or, if you want to continue with the going right inside him strategy, you can actually jump that retreating double slash he does, and once you land, he'll follow it up with another quick slash, you can dodge to the side for that and then he'll do the slow ground stab.

Yeah, his first phase only really has one safe opening and it's the aforementioned slow ground stab, which can be spaced for a free hit.

Like I mentioned before, you want to bait out that leaping thrust he does to start the combo OR if he does it from neutral, you iframe the first two, then jump over the third one. It's easy, quick and feels super stylish.

The neutral one's tell is that he briefly lifts his dagger up before slashing quickly with it.

This stupid, edgy dog ripped me in half a lot of times during RL1 so I had to memorize this, lol.

seems like its quite light too, ive dabbled in the bass but it was my siblings and it was quite hefty (due to the fact of it being a thunderbird). ive been told i play guitar/bass quite low (experimented in both) but it feels much more natural to have my arm clorser to my thigh and the instrument horizontal

It really is light compared to my others. And I feel that. For me, the comfortable position to play is resting my forearm against the head and thumb on the edge of the pickup. Though standing with a strap is also nice
