I got bored so I made a tier list comparing all of the bosses of dark souls 3 and elden ring. Keep in mind the last time I beat Elden ring was over a year ago, so right now I'm replaying through the game and the last boss I have killed so far is fire giant, so anyone after him is subject to change. I understand that different builds and playstyles do drastically change this list, so this this is assuming that you are just doing a standard melee build, no magic, and no crazy amounts of bleed. This list also assumes your character level and weapon level are around the realistic margin you would hit on a casual playthrough (so nothing underleveled or overleveled). This list also assumed all bosses are fought as intented for a first playthrough so cheese strats and extreme amounts of parrying also are assumed to not be used at all. I know this is just an opinion based thing and ik a lot of you guys are probably gonna majorly disagree so that's ok! Just lemme know what ya think. The 3 hardest bosses to pinpoint on this list were crystal sage, malenia, and mogh as my memory for those 3 wasnt the best, so mohg and malenia are likely gonna be placed differently when I put out an updated list after I beat the game again in the next few days. I might end up placing malenia at the top of the list or I might end up bumping her down, same with mogh. Oh and midir and gael are more or less equal in my eyes, I feel midir has a slight edge just bc I feel he is less predictable than gael, but its understandable if you would flip it as again they are basically tied in my eyes.

Im pretty sure I can tell you exactly why both of these things happened. From software games tend to have a interesting glitch that takes place when a boss takes damage during the first frame of a grab attack. That is likely responsibile for you taking no damage and definitely responsibility for you flying aroubd like that. In ds1 they use to do it to the iron golem in order to skip to anor londo, the grab animation would fling them out of the boss arena clip through the wall and into anor londo, looking very similar to what you just experienced.
