scythes arent bad but your level is very low to try and do a 4 stat split (int faith dex str) or even 3 (int faith dex). i would recommend moving away from death, it is unfortunately not the best at a lower level, and frost is more realistic to proc. you should carry a flame infused weapon though to reset the frost status so you can proc it faster if you choose to do frost.

honestly though, i do not recommend trying to spell malenia to death as your fp will likely not last unless you have max cerulean flasks + huge mind stat
