Shading, please please learn shading, it makes or breaks a piece, this is an original work of mine so i know how i want it to look, but if it has a reference spend time on the shading, even if you have no materials you can use a qtip or even your finger for big areas

And shapes, shapes is everything, ofc practice comes in with it, but if you learn simple shapes it’s 100 times easier to do anything, you can even draw a stick man for a body and work it from there

And don’t be afraid to use the grid method for reference pictures, I don’t like it but it’s a good tool for beginners, which helps with proportion
