I’d say older armors are cooler just by the means they did it. They didn’t have the tools we have nowadays, and mostly did it by hand. That is pretty rad

well yeah, but considering the higher demand and the fact that they did have some early forms of automation means that it was probably easier to make armor back then, assuming you were in a position to actually be an armorer (since social mobility just wasn't a thing) Also for that part.. all i can say is that cnc.. exists.

But what irks me is the lengths people go to show their hatred

It will never replace true-made art; there will always be clear signs that it was AI-generated

That being said, I welcome it as a source to base properly made art, so long as the idea behind the ai-depiction has an original source of its own (an idea), from which a true artist can then covet the example concept into their own work and style

Fancy words out: “have an idea but not sure where to take it? Use AI to help your vision, then hone it for real by drawing; the AI as merely a stepping stone just as one uses photoshop to snip together previously made images or photos

i have nerve damage due to having broken my back so i cant do fine motor skill things like paitning even on a pad so for me its just a way of self expression. thats why i stated clearly it was ai.

Maybe with the posts you could also state which prompts you use/which software youre making it on. Would definitely show that its done with a bit more effort than just „give me pretty image“ (so people like me dont assume 😭)

thats what i do with most of my freinds. alot of them are traditional artists so i give them free reference images insted of them having to spend hours looking online

i use MJ and it really depends on what your going for and what model your using, each of them understands prompts in a different and prompt crafting as to evolve to fit that
