there are quite a few gimmick fights like Wolnir and Yhorm, but overall I much prefer the bosses in Dark Souls 3 compared to Elden Ring.

part of a bosses enjoyment is their runback, I do not like how Elden Ring sits you right outside most of them with a Stake of Marika. It feels like Elden Ring rewards people who make more mistakes. That said just PLEASE no boss runbacks like The Kings pets from DS2 Frigid Outskirts

DS2 really tested my patience with runbacks, but I prefer having them in game instead of just running at a boss over and over until its dead. There is no punishment for playing poorly, so as much as I didnt like a lot of runbacks in DS2 I thought the game was overall better with them. I'll die on this hill
