Far as I can recall, Rogier has lines where he comments about those that live in death having no control over their resurrection. Perhaps it is not total sympathy but he does seem to have an understanding and a lack of judgment regarding their situation.

In regards to his and D’s relationship, I also doubt they would have any harsh will towards one another. Though, to be fair, D does make some fairly zealous comments about Rogier once he’s been afflicted by Deathblight.

As well, Fia makes allusions to conversations that she’s had with Rogier; personal ones that he only ever shared with us as comrades. While that probably doesn’t mean he’s willing to kill us, it does show that there’s a certain willingness that he seems to express regarding Fia and her situation.

One of the biggest reasons why ER became much much more popular than other souls game is literally because you have too many ways to cheese even the hardest fights

It gives you liberty to play however you want, so even the casuals (95% of the playerbase) can play it without stressing out
