You don't need spirit ashes to beat godrick, just be mindful of his ground slams (jump them) and when he goes for leap attacks (jumps in the air) start walking towards him, you'll end up behind him

For a quick what they are, cracked pots are used to craft smaller pots and ritual pots are for the big ones, both become cracked pots/ritual pots again once you use the pot that you crafted them into thou

So they are unlimited, but you get more total by collecting them
