Shield poking builds are surprisingly fun. On one hand you take less risks by mostly blocking instead of dodging but stamina management and elemental attacks are still something you need to be wary of, especially attacks that drain too much stamina, those you need to dodge. In the right scenario you can also abuse guard counters to their fullest
