I didn't play on a PS4, no, but I doubt going from base game to DLC is much different there. If you can comfortably play base game, the DLC should also be just fine for the most part, if slightly worse save for a few spots.

It doesn’t change much. The most it’ll do is make some of the early game bosses easier which will then make late game bosses bigger skill checks
