he is really aggresive and performs combos at you which is pretty tough to avoid
his phase 2 is so cool, fun and the soundtrack goes so hard

i personally enjoy romina a lot but have heard that boss is the worst thing ever in sl1 runs so

A couple things:

• He lacks moveset complexity that other bosses have, such as being able to manipulate moves the boss uses based on spacing or your position relative to the boss
• The way you dodge his attacks is the same, you either roll or run or run into roll, he lacks interesting strafes
• His arena is bumpy, causing camera issues and inconsistent dodges on several attacks, especially the light pillar followups in phase 2
• Many attacks cause visual issues that make him hard to track for very little reason, similar is true with Miquella's hair

This is not something unique to PCR and to credit him for this is a bit silly

strafing, spacing, pre-attack positioning, pcr just ignores all that

So some people make fun of souls games for being rollslop (spam roll around to dodge everything) because they think it's lame or spammy or breaks immersion etc.,

It was probably highest with DS3 where a lot of the combat loop was like roll and r1, but when ER came out its bosses did a pretty good job encouraging players to jump certain attacks or use smart positioning over rolling imo
