The game has some really good boss fights and then it has others which I hated. But honestly the toughest parts for me were in the DLC and probably not the parts you're thinking of. The toughest for me was the furnaces, because they are just not fun to fight, boring as hell. And finally, figuring out how to get to the different locations in Shadow Realms. That was like a giant puzzle

they're a massive drain on the engine to the point they drop frames like crazy, the fight is awkward and clumsy since you usually fight them on uneven terrain and can miss ripostes, and their health pools are massive so it just becomes a boring slog

lol DLC is brutal at times. Going through the dragon pit, the game has you fight 4 different dragon bosses before you even get to your next site of grace. It's a good job I was sensible and went back to an older grace to spend my runes!
