you're usually pretty safe to just power level vigor straight to 40 since that early on, damage stats will barely do anything
after 40 you have some wiggle room to get stats elsewhere, like maybe more mind or elemental stats if you're a caster to be able to use more spells, or more str/dex for weapon requirements

Either works, the powerstanced jump attack is pretty nice but it also works great two-handed with the charged heavies

if you were running two you'd wanna be levelling arcane with occult affinity, so that's a lot of extra levels needed for reaching the str requirement and endurance needed to medium roll

with just one you could run it on heavy and buff up with bloodflame blade

i think people overblow how hard the dlc is sometimes bc some people don't use the rpg mechanics enough and get stuck, but even still it's some of fromsoft's hardest content
