sleep allows you to get a single hit or crit and then they wake up, but during eternal sleep they are asleep for a short period of time and will not wake up at all so you can keep wailing on them

it works the exact same way with the godskins

i think normal sleep in general lasts longer, but they wake up after a single hit

I feel like a big part of the replayability comes from the mods. In the older games, there was lot more stuff to do and quests, and generally better but I am biased towards Skyrim since it's my first elder scrolls game.
