I'm really enthusiastic about the idea of PC/console ports
not sure if someone's brought this up already but I think this might be the only way we'll ever see the classic games again
correct me if i'm wrong but one of the reasons they were removed in the first place is bc they interfered with the revenue of the modern titles by appearing higher in search results
moving them to a different platform would allow both old and new games to co-exist without sabotaging one another

also, if any of the puzzle games got released on Switch, I think having a Switch 2 upgrade that enables mouse controls would be quite fitting

though on the other hand, rovio did lay off a bunch of employees after dream blast had been underperforming (source: "Angry Birds Developer Rovio Laying Off 36 Staff - News" from VGChartz, can't link it bc server rule 10) and rovio classics gained a lot of traction and downloads upon its release
besides, it's not as simple as just putting them back on app stores, rovio primarily uses unity now so they'd all have to be remade in an engine the current devs are able to use

To be honest, though, I don't think Rovio will use XGS again

It wouldn’t need to be remade, Rovio just needs to have Chimera give the same treatment to Epic as they (referring to Rovio here) did to BP in 2021, by first upgrading the Unity version, and then from there making whatever changes they desire to make the game work outside of F2P

Also goes for go too but transformers is still up which uses XGS (Exient’s custom game engine also used for Go) so it’s likely much less hard to get that working for Exient atleast

Both games are relatively uncomplicated as long as Rovio gets their original partners that made them back in the picture (which they probably would if a rerelease ever happened)

And the physics look different enough to where I’d guess it was a remake in Unity

I would love to see an original Angry Birds game on console/PC outside of porting the slingshot games ive always wanted to see the series get its own console series similar to PVZ Garden Warfare but something that fit Angry Birds
