#Gordon's Ability and New Environmental Block

Gordon is a new character added in AB Bounce. His power is mainly focused on lightning, so why not add him to a slingshot game like AB Reloaded? Here's my concept:

Let’s start with a new environment block: Metal Pipes

Metal pipes will now naturally generate along with other blocks and pigs. No bird can destroy these metal pipes — but they have a special connection to someone. Who? Well, Gordon!

Gordon is a new bird, and his power is themed around electricity. He doesn’t need to be tapped to activate his ability. When he collides with a pipe, he instantly generates static electricity from his hair. This electricity flows through the pipes, electrocuting any pigs standing or placed on them.

Additionally, the electricity breaks glass, damages wood, and slightly cracks stone blocks as it travels through the pipes.

Just like The Blues, Gordon can also efficiently destroy ice blocks (even without hitting a pipe).

Lore:
When Gordon was struck by lightning(from the comics), his hair—or crest—absorbed some of the energy. After spending much time underground, it built up as static electricity, which eventually sparked my idea.

The next bird I’m working on wears feathers in a quiet mix of blue and green with black. They love to spread their wings and move in ways you might not expect. Stay tuned.

If I got a nickel for every time I’ve seen a Reloaded concept that involves metal blocks becoming electrified, and having them pass that electricity to other metal blocks, I’d have 2 nickels which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Nah, but fr though, I love this concept, the only problem I could see is it being very situational, with relying on a specific block. But I feel that’s fine as the levels would be build around the bird load out, and in turn Gordon. The only thing I would change is having a small explosion on impact, similar to the upgraded version of the Blue Squadron from SW.

One solution for this is to add other metal blocks gordon can interact with,but gordon can also efficiently breaks glass just like the blues so maybe this is what would you do when there are no pipes?,I thought of this since Gordon is related to the blues

Additionally,if metal pipes were integrated with the newer levels which would have different themes,maybe it should have a different texture base on the level's theme to fit

Tbh I imagine Gordon drilling through stuff and shocking pigs as we goes through structures since he has the drill ability in Bounce

To fix and resolve all the issues, I decided to change his main ability, while the pipes are just a support feature that boosts it. Gordon’s main ability is still similar: he doesn’t need tapping, but he does need precise positioning. When launched he should land near a pig, Gordon then releases static electricity from his hair that targets that pig, then chains to other pigs close enough, causing chain reactions. However, this electricity cannot electrocute pigs hidden inside wooden structures, though it has a very slight chance to zap pigs through ice, stone, or even walls. As for the pipes, I decided they should only be introduced in the level where Gordon first appears and it would also still work the same. Overall,the metal pipes now is just a support for the power,its used to control the static electricity instead of it going wildly and doesn't reach any pig. I’ll post the art for this soon if you guys like the new idea. And also thankyou for you guy's feedback

No problem! Your concepts are really cool! Tho I think tapping would be better to be available too. Let's imagine you broke the structure and there's stone or glass that you can chain and it fell near the pig: you tap when it's done falling to use the shock through the distant part of the blocks to chain to pigs. Thus just like Melody Gordon will make use of the rubble across the level. Or zap em through the wall but if you hit only stone/glass but didn't touch other materials let's say. Which means you'll have to snipe specific parts of the structure.
