It is really unlovable for me

I don't really like how many characters there are and that you have to be grinding a lot to get like maybe 5 characters

Here's a very big (and a little cynical and pessimistic) hot take: the angry birds franchise is never going to truely get better. At least until Rovio actually bothers listing to fans instead of ignoring or excusing the complaints people have had with the franchise in recent years

Though I know this is a joke, I want to correct you on your points:

• Chapters requiring money are fair. This is the price to pay if someone wanted to unlock them immediately (and it's not worth it). I honestly can't think of another reason to immediately get these chapters, except for money. This is by far not the same as Seasons. In SW 2, you have to complete the chapters to unlock them (only one side is required), giving you a sense of progression. Seasons on the other hand, just wants your coins and you can't even beat the 2014-2016 episodes to unlock them, so no fair way to get previous old episodes. All chapters being unlocked is kinda lame. I get your point, but some video games with episode progression don't do that. Otherwise, you can just skip to the end of the game and beat it. It works better for games like Seasons.

• Too many characters isn't inherently a bad thing, but I will say not every character is distinct. Seriously, why on earth are there about 7 lightsaber users that almost function the same way. Pricing for these characters is also horrendously stupid. I'll ask you a question (please tell me your honest answer), what character would you buy: Han Solo for 500 or Battle Droid for 100? Both shoot 3 lasers in a straight way. If you said Battle Droid, then bravo! You chose the wise choice! Han Solo and Battle Droid have the same strength in their laser attack, so it is redundant to get the more expensive option. The same thing goes for Lando and Red Battle Droid, or Anakin I and Biker Scout. You do have a point on Rebel Pilot Blues not being there. If almost every character is not distinct, why not add those characters, as well? Jedi Younglings and Pilot Blues at the same time are fine! Adding the SW 1 characters in SW 2 is still a good choice, for people who liked using the old characters.

• The pig officer is from Rebels. I think these guys are common in many parts of the Sith territory. They've worked for Darth Vader and the Inquisitor, so putting him in was a great choice. By the way, this character is so overpowered, and probably the best gun character in SW 2. He can shoot the most lasers out of any gun character and can aim wherever he wants. This character is worth the money for an infinite.

Yet in Reloaded they are all together as one, which obviously would retcon a lot of things. So thus Reloaded is a different universe, they aren’t really rewriting anything, although it does seem that way..

The worst thing about The Angry Birds Movie 2 (especially since I personally do not like that film at all), is that every character's personality is completely different from how they were in the original.

• Red is now a narcissist to everyone around him until the last 5 minutes. In the first film, it was because everyone practically hated him (at least, that's what he was led to believe) for his whole life, so he thus pushed everyone away to avoid being hurt any further. But that doesn't work anymore since he is now loved by the whole island. "Oh but everyone forgot about him after the truce" He still has friends. He completed his semi-character arc. There is no need for him to act so selfishly.
• Chuck is fine, I guess. Not much so say about him.
• Bomb has been mistaken for being 100% dumb and nothing else. Before, he was naïve but well-meaning and knows how to take stuff seriously. Not anymore, apparently!
• Silver is just a generic, overused "strong female" character; she goes through no struggles or issues whatsoever and is therefore boring.
• Leonard is also fine, but only because he was the only one who actually did something about the ice-ball situation.
• I hate the Hatchlings. They're worse than they have ever been in the entire franchise.
  In a nutshell, every major character in the films has been a victim of character assination. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I agree with everything you said! They think just because they use a Classic design on a social media post, we'll all just be like "Oh hey, they've changed!" The nostalgia baiting is especially apparent with the recent 14th Anniversary post of all of the birds. Toons media lost all personality, especially with the short Slingshot Stories that are in the same setting for the entire 3 seasons. What happened to The Blues, Hal, Bubbles, or even Stella in Toons form? With all the stuff in AB2, it doesn't feel like Classic Slingshot action anymore, it's just really overwhelming, especially when you're just trying to play Angry Birds, same as Friends. Both the content and level design in 2 and Friends are likely to lure people away. It did for me, lol. Then there is Journey which tbh, seems like it's made for 5 year old IPad kids. The recent Comic Dub and the AB.com library are cool though.

They don’t display any of the personality traits they had in previous incarnations notably Toons

I know ive been growing up with the games but i found all minion pig characters to be boring to me because rovio just plopped on a hat or gave them freckles and thats it for funny purposes
