Not really self promo yet. This is a WIP high power x solar router node project. A = Rev1 prototype and after I complete testing and deployment of one of these. I will create a commercially available (yet still 100% FOSS & OpenHardware) B revision

It is designed around the nRF52840 and the LR1110. I intend to hit roughly a £50 price point per board falling closer to £30 if you DIY

Follow this thread to stay up to date! GitHub release later today probably when I can be bothered to move the repository around

The Ben power in this project is strong 💪

let's GOOO

#

i'm also considering a push for other boards to provide bias-tee power to the antennas and breaking out the SKY65313 to a daughter amplifier & LNA board. Might be a better idea... Not sure what the communities thoughts on this would be

Does it have INA332 built in

Do you mean the INA322?

Ina3321

Definitely 322

I’ll reiterate that this is just a test platform tho

#

It’s large and impractical right now

LCSC might be coming soon! Cleared customs implies it’s actually in this country. Regretting paying for snailmail now 🤣

#

Yep they gave me a Royal Mail tracking number

following! maybe I'll have something to show my local knowledgeable ham guy who asked about separated rx/tx at some point 🙂

So for revB i was thinking of removing a lot of RF frontend and provide Bias Tee along the RF paths so that the user can choose modules inline. Like i can design a bias-tee powered amplifier and LNA to go on the seperate RF paths

#

Yay/Nay ? I think the intended user of the BLN305X node is an RF powernerd and less of the casual mesh enjoyer

#

Along with GPS i want to provide a breakout for a WiFi module too, as imo it's 100x more practical for a home-base deployment

From what I've seen, a filter for the Rx side plus lna would be a useful feature. As said elsewhere, the 30db module suffers in a high noise environment, and needs a filter, but surface mount filters aren't up to the task.

Some loud but deaf nodes.

Now get on the Marconi and find out what kind of ham soup we're dealing with here.

#

Damn set must've blown a condenser...

vestal smelt

lmao

#

so, Bias tee and seperate paths is appreciated?

vestal smelt
#

but i wouild also manufacture modules that filter / LNA etc
