Idea: use topic msh/US/KYIN for kentuckiana region, this topic could be setup to replicate messages to/from IN and KY topics so we can expand local coverage across the river.

Alrighty. Tomorrow, I'm going to be installing Powerline 2.0. The current build shows as Meshtastic 9038. It'

Current build: A small antenna with an SWR of 1.7 at best. It is a heltec v3 stored in a plastic sandwich baggie, taped to the back of a solar panel, with one 18650 inside.

2.0 features a much more expensive and tuned antenna at 1.3 SWR. An IPX-5 rated enclosure, and 4 18650 batteries. It will have a newly flashed heltec v3. It will show up as (8e78.) It will have a hop limit of 6, considering its use. I'll also be trying to mount it even higher on the powerline, hopefully without dying. The antenna will also be insulated from its mounting surface to prevent interference.

Deployment delayed. I woke up at 4 to accomplish this, and a toddler sensed it and woke up too.

However, this allowed me time to buy a climbing harness, which means I can go higher on the structure without risking as much death.

@scarlet lodge I see your node sometimes. From central KY like 50 miles away. Extremely periodic. It connects me to many nodes in northern indianapolis.

# scarlet lodge What is your node's label/name?

I don't really have a fixed node yet. I have not taken any steps towards getting access to high locations in my area but would like to. If I can manage to get it done, I will post about it in here.

#

Wonder if anyone has any experience deploying a sector/patch style node alongside a omni node to connect areas.,

lol, yeah, seems like we can pull off quite a bit of jank with these nodes.
