Get that outta here. Slap ya momma is so much better (also made here)
I’m going to have try that one! It’s been over 20 years since I lived there, so I’m not up on my seasoning-foo
OG?
I’m around Lafayette
Have anything setup?
I’m just getting into all of this, waiting for my kits to come in
I have a few nodes in the Baton Rouge area but I just received them a few days ago and haven't learned what I am doing yet.
Ahh. I have a node up with a pretty mediocre antenna right now but will soon have an outdoor one mounted high
Just need to get a solar panel
With everything so flat around here, have you gotten good range?
I don't have my outdoor device setup yet but I am surrounded by thick woods so that doesn't help the range
Good point. I'm hoping to do some range tests this weekend but it will surely be me driving around trying to connect back to my house.
I just got mine in today and will be doing some small tests on way to work and stuff
I hope you have luck finding others in the area.
And may the crawfish 🦞 burls be ever in your favor.
I mean I’ve had mine outside and running for a week or so, but I haven’t heightened it or added a better antenna 😅.
I work in New Orleans a block away from Arabi. Thinking of setting up a node
This is my first time on discord. First post. I'm in north acadia parish 40 miles from Lafayette. My son in lake charles introduced me to meshtastic and hf js8call. We want to deploy nodes other comms for hurricane and other shtf emergencies. Anyone setup nodes between Lafayette and Lake Charles? Or between I 10 and us hwy 190 corridor?
I’m near Walker and Denham Springs with nodes
Everyone, there is a "private" but free MQTT server for the state, if you want link up to it. https://louisianamesh.org
The Louisiana Mesh Community Website
89 nodes are signed up as of now.
We are also on Discord. There's 157 members as of tonight. Please come join us.
