Yeah, we can learn faster by playing against high skilled players. We can learn what they do and we can find out our mistakes in the game. However, playing against high skilled players in tournament, we will have high chance of losing, unless we don't plan of trying to win the tournament, just want to have fun / just want to learn, etc

Lesson learned: the schedule and rules should be clarified on the date of registration start. We can more likely modify our work and school events if the schedule was given early enough. Also, we can find a potential problem, and help the host fix that.
but a tiny evil part of me is saying it would be funny to see the semifinalists suffer from such a drastic meta shift
