Depends if you want to try to qualify for the Prince Cup - if you do then completing all 35 gets you 1 point towards qualifying for Serious Showdown. If you don't know that that means or don't care, then nope no need to finish 35 unless you just want more chance at primos

Instead of gaining +10 primos per win. Make it so you gain +5 primos per match, and an extra +5 primos if you win.
Maybe then the queue wouldn't be dead after people collect their 3 wins for the card back and bounce

CTG and Prince meta are two seperate things, CTG is randoms and braindead highrolls v Prince is more strategic with your 3 decks so i wouldn't worry that much. Also if you starting after other people you can just copy their decks

I think there was a game where the ladder event would overcrowd certain times and regions so they would assign groups to play against each other i certain times (West would be around 3 am in Asia and vice versa) so they wouldn't overlap

Unless people were crazy enough to wake up at 3 am, they wouldn't dare to participate in that group

(Of course, they could still do it... but, in a controlled grouping of 32 people at a time each day and about 1k groups at a time, I don't think they would use multiple accounts in that time, then hop back to their normal time)

Difference is that the times for matches would be much tighter or unconvenient for some (for students or workers mostly)

I strongly considered not participating this season. The idea of spending around 12 stressful hours in a week for a little over 300 Primogems and a card back I already owned when two other rare and fun events that I really enjoy, the Iridescence Tour and Windtrace, were happening at the same time, did not appeal much to me.

I think publicity is The Cat's Tail Gathering's biggest issue, not the rewards themselves (although it wouldn't hurt if the rewards were bumped up more). Not enough players know about the tournament or the fact it gives rewards.

If it were prominently advertised in-game as a way to win Primogems, an exclusive Card Back, a chance at a Welkin Moon through through the survey, and even greater awards for top participants, I'm sure there would be a lot more people trying it out.

People just don't think playing TCG gives rewards period.

Problems like mine are separate; I just feel like the CTG was scheduled at a bad time in the Version for a player with my interests.

I am a theory on how the matching works. What the bot does is have a lobby. People fill in that lobby lets say it is 10. Then 10 people fill the lobby and it assign those 10 people based on number of wins they currently have. Once 5 matches are filled it sends the matching to everyone. So basically this punishes people who q at non peak hours and people who keep up every day.

I'd assume you haven't played since the end of 2023 S3; here's what has changed since then:

• You can earn Primogems for every win in the Preliminary Stage; Welkin raffle has been scaled down and moved to the end-of-season survey (now requires only 1 game played)
• Winning 3 games in the Preliminary Stage now rewards you with a tournament-exclusive card back in-game
• Matchmaking system is more skill-based (as opposed to totally random)
• Preliminary Stage is now more than a week long: still +5 games/day quota and 35-game cap, but you get a few more days to complete all 35 games
• CTG Leaderboard (#cats-tail-leaderboard): earn points toward qualification for Serious Showdown - the qualifier for The Prince Cup, the highest level of competitive play (1 point for completing all 35 games of the Preliminary Stage, more points for reaching top 32 and Knockouts)
• Knockouts now adopts a closed-list per-character Conquest format: you can only win with each Character Card once
