No need to panic, there's a ton of info you'll get to read once you get matched with someone

I'll explain how it worked back when I first participated, dunno if things changed

When the matchmaking period begins, all you have to do is press the button on the bottom of the #preliminary-queue channel

The bot will do all the work, and match you up with (i guess) someone with a close XP count to yours, or simply with the only other guy or gal on the queue at the same time.

Which means even if you have zero XP you still have a chance to go against the top scorer.

Once you get matched up, just press the confirmation button to confirm you're ready, and a private channel between you and your opponent will open.

Do remember to be polite and have fun, we're all friends here!

If anything happens during the match just ping the moderator on the created private channel.

But don't worry, there's only 3 places you have to mind:

1. The matchmaking channel, #preliminary-queue

2. The soon-to-be-opened leaderboard for this tournament, so you can see if you're in the top 16 (qualified contenders)

3. The private channels which open whenever you find your opponent. These contain all the rules you need to know for your match.

Along with detailed explanation of which moments you need to screenshot in order to verify your win or participation

But overall, don't worry!

Once you do one or two matches you'll be set to go!

Summarizing, you just need to screenshot the loading screen before the match.

You'll be able to read the details once you match with another player

But basically just make sure your UID and both the nicknames are shown.

You don't need to enter a voice chat or anything, this is a introvert-friendly prelim 😉

After the match, notify the bot with the specified command, type either "win" or "lose", and sent it while attaching the screenshot.
