I entered into the tavern the day it was created. I basically saw the community of the server growing, going from a peaceful chilled server to the most chaotic and fun server ive ever been on. Obviously I dont mean "chaotic" in a bad way. The server started as more of a meme then a serious server, but the community grew so fast it actually became a serious server such as the main discord server of genshin impact, even tho we are still more lenient in here ihihih. Anyway, i started as a pleb as all of you to then become a stinky mod like Rem KEK (love you Rem) but i've never changed my behaviour towards the community because of it. What i mean is that im still as degen as you guys and i want you to talk to me as if you were talking to any user. This is actually the behaviour i've mostly seen so far and im very glad for it. I wanted to thank all of you for this amazing experience and i really hope to enjoy my time here with all of you while i also hope you will enjoy your time here too. I just wanted all of you to know that this server is a place for me to find comfort. Even if i dont write here too often its always a pleasure when i do. With this said, I really hope you guys are feeling comfortable here too and if you have any problem just tell us. We will help you.

On the very first day this server was launched, I was 100% positive this server wouldn't even go past a week... It would most likely get shut down by HoYoverse itself. It's been a year Tavern :smirk: :pensive:

It’s lovely talking to you all, everyday meeting someone new, and always joking around. Everytime I log on to Discord, it was always something new, like a cult! Tavern always chaotic.. Smh… I remember the beginning of tavern days when there was always, “airplanes in the night sky” literally almost everywhere, especially la fishe au chocolat and when every mod had “uwu” in their name and when you guys kept begging me for a face reveal which unexpectedly got 100 reactions on venti’s message as well it ended up getting pinned. I will definitely not forget the old tavern arcs especially as some of the new tavern arcs. Somehow we have 3 tavern generations and I can’t believe most of us regulars, and mods stayed up till both 3 generations. General was always booming, especially at night for me… but now it’s Jenshin chat!

Anyways enough of that! You guys are all amazing and I’ll always remember and cherish every little moment I've had and spent time with you all! Happy anniversary and I hope you guys in the future still stay with us~

Hi Tavern~ How are you on this lovely anniversary?

It's me, your local dad-joked banned mod, mango & apple cider addict, Yanfei main, and Venti simp.

So, to start, I have been here since the very beginning of the server, actually BEFORE it was announced on twitter because I saw it in maincord and decided to join. First message in general-chat— ""capitalism""... Honestly I find that pretty funny for no reason in particular. It has no context to it.

It's been a long journey after a full year of being year and finally reaching Tavern's 1 year anniversary. I still remember all the hilarious arcs we had at the start, the chaos of it all. Meeting new friends and having so much fun but barely remembering who they were or what their users were the next day. All that remained was the memories and the feelings of joy and laughter as everything went down. I probably won't ever forget it.

There was so much to be had in those precious few first months and it's hard to put it into words the sadness I feel knowing it will never come back. The pickup lines, le fishe au chocolat, everyone becoming emely, Qiqi WGS, Raiden Shogun's eternity, e-girls, Lia's child #5, uwu, and can we pretend that airplanes are things I can name off the top of my head when thinking of Tavern in the beginning. I miss those days, a lot, and I miss the people that aren't active in the server anymore from those days. It could be that I'm blinded by nostalgia as well —but to dwell on the past is also to blind yourself of the future.

Since the opening of jenshin-chat, (what I like to name as generation 2) I have met so many new people and had so many new memories. My friends there and the new connections I've formed I still have today, and I am so greatful for them. A lot of times when I would feel down I would go there and just chat. It was nice. I still talk there everyday (and mess up my sleep schedule), so if you ever need something or want to talk about Genshin— I'm just a ping away~

Now, this part might seem surprising to a couple of people, but I wasn't always a mod. It's a bit of a weird feeling since, holy sh**! I've been a mod for over half a year?! That's crazy to me. Absolutely insane because it feels like so little time has passed since then. I remember the day I got promoted so vividly. It was a baffling experience—around 6am for me so I think I was shaking from the shock because I was NOT processing it at all. I'm so thankful for the entire mod team and how they've helped me grow both as a person and well, a moderator.

It's such a surreal experience seeing everything and everyone grow and change in real time. You don't process all of it in the moment. So remember to cherish it all while you still can. Before the summer's over and everyone has schoolwork to deal with again. Before you miss out on opportunities that won't be there next time. That seems so cheesy to write, you're probably laughing at me while reading this. But, from the bottom of my mango pile, I really do appreciate every single one of you plebs. This server and everyone I've met in it means the world to me.

So, we've finally reached one year, huh Tavern? Three-hundred-and-sixty-five-days. That's quite a lot—it's been a wild ride.

Happy one year! I look forward to another year of spending with everyone in this server. You never know what is lurking on the horizon, or QiqiLurking on the horizon... heh...

I can’t believe I’ve known some of you for a year now. And with Tavern going Global™ (BIG welcome to new SEA members, please enjoy your stay here!), we have so much more room to grow! It’s been one heck of a journey, that’s for sure, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of chaos and excitement we’ve all created together.

Hehe, I still remember back when I was under the name “Barbatos” hosting near-daily game nights as a regular Qixing. To think we get 50+ people in voice chat when we play Gartic Phone these days! It’s fun playing with Off Topic regulars, too! That’s right - you guys get along, okay? Don’t think I’m not watching you even if there’s times I’m not super chatty.

If I started naming individual people, I think this message would become more like a mailing list rather than a thank you note, so just know that if we’ve interacted before - whether you’re a fellow moderator, or a new/old regular - I have you in mind, and I will always cherish our memories together. Still remember when the Merch Redemption feature [was disabled because Sussy's DM got disabled](#📣server-updates message), and when the [Jukebox was brought down for maintenance](#📣server-updates message)?
Wait no longer! Because Sussy just received 3 boxes of updates from a certain delivery Traveler~!

〓 Merch Redemption Revamp 〓

Let's check what's new inside this box~

• You can now redeem multiple items at once. You can put up to 8 items with a max quantity of 10 each, in your cart, and proceed to checking out (given you have enough Mora, of course).
• Shipping address filling now uses a Discord form (modal). This keeps the same level of privacy as inside your DM, while giving you better control of your data (set or clear the address at your command)!
• Your privacy remains even when using the commands in the Tavern. All messages are ephemeral, meaning only you can see them. So don't worry about people knowing what merch you put in your cart~

• Improved queue speed for the first song. The time it takes Sussy Paimon to eat up a song info is significantly reduced for the first song to queue~! Get people to listen to your song faster~
• Commands are changed to Slash Commands. We've changed all of the Jukebox's commands into slash commands, so that you don't miss what you can do with the Jukebox using the Mora in your hands.

Sussy Paimon is excited to bring you a few updates for our [Request Feature](#bot-features message "#bot-features message") - with which you can spend Mora and request for various things to happen in the Tavern!

To slash commands, we go!

The .request command has been separated into 4 slash commands:

• /request emoji - Request to Add an emoji
• /request banner - Request to Change the current server banner
• /request channel - Request to Change a channel's name
• /request works - Request to Feature your works in the spotlight channel #📣featured-works
  In the name of MORA !

See the request's queue length before submitting!

These commands will show how many requests currently in queue, so you can estimate how long the wait is until your request is processed~

Privacy update for the commands

The commands are now usable in #bot-playground only. But don't worry about someone peeking at your stuff, since only you can see the messages from the process~

Specific changes

• Requesting emoji addition to the Tavern with /request emoji now asks you to enter the emoji name, and you get to add an optional context for this addition!
• /request channel and /request banner also asks for the optional context as well, this mayhap pique your interest in writing news report?
• /request works now asks you to include a link to your work, along with an optional message that you want to share!

• @Pleb role has now been deprecated. Now @everyone who joins and accepts the server rules can chat in the server without having to obtain the @Pleb role.
• @Pleb role is no longer obtainable. Those who already got it can still keep it as a memento of days past.
• From now on, @everyone will be able to do what @Pleb can. So please expect no-colored users joining in chat!
• Some commands that used to work in Sussy Paimon's DM now only work in the server. This includes: .checkin, .buyticket, .myticket, and .help commands.
• SEA categories have been updated.
• Chat channels are now put into read-only state, and is slated for removal <t:1704855600:R>.

Howdy, Tavern patrols!

Sussy has observed the server's activities, and it has come to Sussy's attention that there should be a reorganization to make our place a little livelier and easier to understand! So, here's the plan for Tavern's Spring Cleaning *rolls up sleeves*...

Plan details

• Move #💬general-chat and #cafe-shrine-refuge to The Real Off-topics category. This category will be renamed to Gen Chat & Off-topic after the cleanup.
• Archive the #cafe and #shrine. It is to be condensed into the one and only off-topic channel: #cafe-shrine-refuge.
  • Pending name change requests will be refunded in full, and name change /request feature won't allow selection of these channels.
• Archive all channels in the current The Real Off-topics category. It is to be condensed into the one and only off-topic channel: #cafe-shrine-refuge.
• Combine #genshin-coop into #📌gimshim-help as Tavern patrols use the help channel for most cases.
• #flexers can just flex in other channels instead. So, it's also archived.
• Archive the entire BRT5 Tournament category due to its inactivity here.
• #1072073886360944661 is put into read-only mode until new season starts.
• Temporarily archiving #vip-lounge until further notice.

In order for Tavern patrols to visit the corners one last time, Sussy will hold off the cleaning until <t:1737961200:F> (<t:1737961200:R>). Salvage all that's left until it's gone into Sussy's belly, alright?

Hello Taverners! Sussy Paimon thought it would a good idea to have everyone formally updated with the server's ongoing changes and more. So Sussy Paimon made this channel for everyone to see!

Now lets start with the bad news first, due to severe lack of activity in each respective category, Simp and Weenie Hut categories have been put to sleep and their respective roles were removed. These are not the only areas that would be put to sleep, but please rest assured that Sussy Paimon is making 100% sure that we won't remove the busy channels/categories!

Alas! Sussy Paimon has good news too! There are new overhaul changes that will sweep across the Tavern that will revamp the community and reshape the near entirety of the server as a whole! Please stay tuned for the announcements following these updates in #📣breaking-news in the near future~!

It's time to Level Up!

Hi Taverners!

We're excited to introduce to you an all-new system in the Tavern - Level System!

As a game should be, you level up when gaining enough EXP. Experience the Tavern with the following activities to gain EXP:

Chatting with others

You can gain up to 200 EXP a day (refreshed at <t:1650902400:t>) just by participating in various discussions the Tavern has to offer!
ℹ️ Not all messages give you EXP, so try to engage in meaningful convos, it's how you get REAL EXP anyway!

Completing commission quests

Everyday, Sussy gives you 4 Commission Quests that involve your interaction with her, or with other fellah Taverners~ Each gives you 100 EXP for a total of 400 EXP per day!
ℹ️ Incomplete Commission Quests will be removed after daily reset (at <t:1650902400:t>)!

Participating in the Tavern's events

Check for events in #📅tavern-events and participate to gain even more EXP... Wanna speedrun? This is your chance to get ahead of 'em~

〓 How to 〓

Use the command .lv as an all-in-one place to:
• Check your leveling progress.
• See if there's any rewards to claim, and claim them.
• Get your Commission Quests and check their statuses.
ℹ️ You need to get your Commission Quests in order to complete them (simply use .lv and you're good to go!)

Every time you level up, congratz! And there's some sweet Mora to claim~
To claim your rewards, use the command .lv and click on Claim All Rewards button!

As part of the Tavern overhaul, we're revamping the whole color role pickups in the Tavern!
First, we've sunset the #color-pickup channel where you can pick a role and get a color. The change has been made.
Second, the roles assigned from #color-pickup will also be removed from everyone. The change will happen <t:1651806000:R> (<t:1651806000:F>). So if you have anything to pack up, please do it now!

Alright, here's the Third point - the last one - and most important one: We will be introducing an all new Color Role System that's tied to Vision colors. Those who are worthy enough will get an additional role that will be hoisted to be above regular plebs!

Vision Role Instructions

Are you looking for a certain color role? You've come to the right place!
This instruction will show you how to get a color role - Vision Role - to flex on those plebs without one!

〓 Prerequisite 〓

• Reach Tavern Level 10 [» How to level up](#📣server-updates message)

〓 How to 〓

• Interact with the Statue of the Seven in #🎨statue-of-the-seven by clicking the Resonate button.
• Navigate to your Direct Messages and complete the Vision Elemental Manifestation process by answering 7 quizzes provided by yours truly. Each quiz has a time limit of 3 minutes for you to give an answer.
• Depending on your answers, you will receive a Vision Role with color of 1 of the 7 elements in Teyvat~
• You will also receive a Vision Holder role which is hoisted above Pleb role if you haven't already.

Please ensure your DM is open. Sussy will give an instruction on how to open it up if she can't contact you~

〓 Cooldown 〓

After receiving the Vision Role, the Vision Elemental Manifestation process will go on cooldown for 7 days. Your Vision Role can be updated when the cooldown is over.
You can also offer 200 Mora to the Statue of the Seven to lift the cooldown immediately. Simply Resonate with it and it will show you the steps!

Tavern Important Changes so far <@&865773069695582208>

It's Sussy again~ This time she wants to make a recap of the big changes happening in the Tavern. So here we go~!

Changes - Live now

• The introduction of Level & EXP System in the Tavern. Feel free to check [this message](#📣server-updates message) and see how it works in details~
• A lot of roles were nuked. With just one snap, Sussy sunset quite a number of roles with at least 10k members each. That was such a horrifying scene to behold... Were you there to witness? If yes, good! It's a very rare sight to be seen on Discord, after all!
• All the Plebs become colorless... So we're giving out a temporary color for them. The color was not finalized yet, so please try to get your Vision Role, quickly~
• Vision Role? Yes, it's a new thing in the Tavern. Once you get to Level 10 and answer a quiz (that Sussy thinks is interesting), a Vision Role will be given to you based on your answer~ Sussy prepared the instruction [here](#📣server-updates message) so you can read and understand it better~!

Upcoming changes

• An overhaul of bot featuring channels so it can be easier to check what our server has to offer!
• Inactive plebs are getting pruned. So brace yourselves!

We've got good news~ The Tavern is now accepting Permanent Ban/Mute/Restrict Appeals!
• The instructions and guidelines in #📨contact-qixing are updated to reflect the changes. Please head there if you want to know how to appeal for yourself/someone~
• You can now check your temporary punishment details (reason & time until it getting lifted), if you have any, via the Qixing Hotline. Simply dial number 1 and send myself to retrieve your punishment details~

• Sussy would normally send a message containing the reason and punishment duration to the bad plebs, but due to a certain Discord problem, she can no longer do so, for now... She is still trying to get into contact with a Discord CS to fix that, hopefully they won't eat her TwT

The Statue of the Seven is no longer inverted!

[As strange as the sightings used to be](#📣breaking-news message), it's now back to normal~! The entire process of the Vision Quiz has been revamped, now you only need to press buttons to advance to the next question, and Sussy no longer slides into your DM for the quiz anymore (.vision command was removed)~ Yay less work, hehe!

And it's now even better with a QoL update: Upon re-taking the quiz, if you already own a Vision, you will no longer receive the same Vision again!
