depends on the char, some deal damage with their talents usually want crit (among other things)
others are supports rather than dpses and crit dmg becomes a dead stat

EM is for reaction based chars, or the handful who scale directly with it

this is a good site to bookmark. You can check what main stats and substats the char wants, that'll tell you where EM or crit are good
but it also lists recommended weapons, that's a better guide than looking at the substat

Skirk + Furina work well together, but you really want Escoffier to actually make it a good team

Columbina is a really good char, but mostly in one of the three lunar teams (Zibai, Nefer, or Flins)

Chasca is comfortable to play especially in overworld with her mobility.
at c0, she's weaker than Skirk teams or Columbina teams (assuming you go for optimal teammates for each)
