I want you, first and foremost, to understand that the advice I'm giving is oriented towards players who are not into optimizing their roster for abyss but rather, pulling the characters they like and then looking into the available options of that. Because of this, a well-rounded build is going to be preferable for players like this (i.e. Iansan-chan) who are just looking to have a well-rounded build for their characters for general use, not optimizing them for Abyss.

With that out of the way, let's look into how a well-rounded Xilonen helps players like this. A Xilonen who has some Def is, first and foremost, able to provide better defensive utility to the team by a.) being able to a more reliable quickswap option in moments of panic and b.) being able to heal better. Why is this good? Because having a Xilonen who can heal better means that the player has more slots open for teams instead of having another dedicated character who will handle defensive utility. This is called role consolidation, a valued aspect of characters inasmuch as it allows for more open teambuilding. This is one aspect why Escoffier is so valued, she consolidates multiple roles into one slot.......

......"But this team of Neuvy/Kazuha/Furina/Xilonen doesn't need Def from Xilonen". You are probably correct. The point is that this Xilonen is that the teambuilding for this example already revolved around a set-up that already resolves for that issue. However, this is not always how people are going to formulate their roster. Maybe they don't want to pull for Neuvillette or Furina. Maybe the set-up for the current abyss is antithetical to this current set-up. So what becomes of their teambuilding prospects for Xilonen? They will have to look into other teams that will have to deal with that issue. This restricts teambuilding for Xilonen because they will need another way to circumvent Xilonen's lesser defensive utility. For more veteran players, this isn't as much an issue because their roster is more expansive, or they purposefully emulate optimal teams.** But that is not how everyone constructs their rosters****. For Iansan-chan's case, that is not what they are looking to do, and for many other people as well.

In case you're not familiar with me and my history in the Help Channel previously, the advice I usually give for the Help Channel, as I've done in the past, is advice that doesn't pigeonhole players into only playing one way to orient their characters but rather, encourage them to expand their account the way they see fit and then find options from what they've expanded upon. If the players' specifically indicates for advice that is meant to tackle endgame modes and be situationally optimized for those scenarios, by all means, this would not be much of an issue. However, that's not what every player here is looking to do, some are just looking to find a way to build characters they have and/or like in a general manner.

Compared to not playing a 4th character

Assuming you are using Xiangling eq

But as to your original question if she can burst every rotation it's enough yeah, generally with Mav Xilo that's about what she needs
