Okay so I'm building my Ayato and came across a dilemma with his artifacts. From what I've seen from guides and reddit; Ayato's bis is echoes of the offering IF your ping is less than 100. If it's more than 100 then build for glad or heart of depth.

My problems is, my ping is usually a bit flaky. Sometimes 67-97 but it sometimes spikes to 112 before gowing back down. Will it change much if I change my build from 4pc echoes to 2pc glad/2pc heart of depth? Or is still better to keep the 4pc echoes?

4pc echoes is only worth going for if you also need 4pc vermillion for xiao (since it comes in the same domain). Even with good ping, echoes is pretty similar to 4pc gladiators and 4pc heart of depths

that said, Childe only has 1 very specific team where he excels at (international), and he's uncontested in this
Ayato is more generalist and fits on other teams where Childe struggles
