So producing many cores at once is the same as creating just two. (assuming they hit the same target.)
Like Lemon said, the key is to have high uptime rather than apply a lot at once

Do fischl and raiden perform the same role in most (dendro) teams i was going to build her but i also plan on pulling raiden when she comes back. Would this just be wasted materials

You can technically do mono-pyro or pure overload teams with yoimiya but they don't tend to be as strong

Not really. When it comes to dendro teams raiden is used as a hyperbloom DPS (off-field with E) or on-field in aggravate (less common but still decent). Fischl is generally used as an off-field aggravate DPS (not hyperbloom), but she can be used in hyperbloom teams as a flex slot since she doesn't hit dendro cores that well.
Outside of dendro teams, raiden is used as an on-field DPS and battery, while fischl is used as an off-field DPS and battery

might be worth building a nilou team, you can use that with characters that wont overlap with your yoimiya team, and nilou bloom is great in AoE (something which yoimiya isnt giving you more coverage for dealing with different situations)
