Amber refines are not that important for Neuvillette to be honest, like they're still nice but from r1-r5 it's a difference of 6 flat energy restored, and depending on team you may well have enough energy already without the additional flat energy from refines

He's typically used in teams where he makes up a large portion of the team damage anyway, regardless of what character's are released in the future I wouldn't expect that to change since he is an on-field damage dealer who takes up a significant amount of field time too

even if we assume a team where he would only contribute 50% of the team's damage (often it's more), a 40% personal increase would translate into a 20% team dps increase which is still significant
