i want to maximize my scara hypercarry's (c0 wanderer, c6 faruzan, c4 layla, c0 mona) damage for the abyss so i want zhongli for the 20% res shred, but i'm thinking my c4 layla's buffs is probably just as efficient (maybe not, but not much less than zhongli's res shred probably) and i like layla's 100 shield uptime + good cryo application which allows my wanderer to swirl cryo every now and then and get +20% crit rate. bc if i do get zhongli, he's just gonna replace layla and get her 4pc ToTM artifacts

as for childe, i've seen him work so great in the abyss. my national team (c5 bennett, c5 xiangling, c0 sucrose) is ready and is just waiting for him. his playstyle with the long cooldown doesn't bother me, i can learn how to get used to switching his E quickly to avoid the cooldown getting longer. the problem is, unlike zhongli, if i get childe, he'll have no artifacts ready bc i only thought of having a national team when his rerun got released + i have no hydro DPSs so i have never farmed in hydro dps artifacts domains. so i'm worried it might take really long before i can have him properly built for the abyss, but also it might be really worth the wait anyway? but as f2p, i wanna get all the primos from the abyss resets bc i've only been getting 30-33 stars

well first off by looking at the character's talent you will know which chars scale off which stats

Fischl can deal a lot of damage in an aggregate team, her lvl70 ascension passive procs every time the on-field char triggers quicken or aggravate (up to once every 0.5s)

and it has no ICD on its electro application, so it itself triggers aggravate every time

but for that to work, Fischl needs a driver - someone who can be on-field and apply a lot of electro to trigger aggravates

that unit here would be Lisa, preferably with 4pc thundering fury

other possible drivers include yae miko and keqing
