I've seen people say they don't, but I've also seen alot of people who run those 2 together

I was gonna roll for zhongli, but if yelan can help my wanderer with dmg, I'll be happier than giving him survivability

they do have synergy, but Wanderer ideally runs with other units to best maximize his damage

granted at lower const, he's better off as a driver

yelan has her passive that buffs dmg and does good off-field dmg but you would be losing out on a support
