As a f2p player, I often think it’s not worth pulling on weapon banner, as you basically only have a 33.3% chance to pull the weapon you want. Besides, pity doesn’t transfer over to the next banner. This is the reason I barely own any 5-star weapons. It just feels like weapon banner is such a scam. Can anyone change my mind? Are weapons that much of an addition and are they worth the pain of possibly spending 200+ fates?

Pity does transfer, it's fate points that don't
it's a 37.5/37.5 (for rate up)/25% for off-rate, if you get an off-rate then it's 50/50 between both of the rate-up weapons for the next 5* (so it will be one of them)
as for possibly spending 200+ fates to get a desired weapon, that's if you get unlucky but can happen, your choice if you value a damage increase for some characters over additional characters

Like for someone with a lot of characters already, getting some specific 5* weapons could be better for their account from a 'meta' perspective than additional characters

but genshin is quite easy and doesn't require you to have 5* weapons so if you don't care as much about bigger numbers and would rather have additional playstyles that's fine

I don't agree with the often parroted statement "the weapon banner is a scam" though

some people wish to invest into some characters and teams as much as possible to make them strong rather than having lots of teams to play (vertical as opposed to horizontal investment), in which case pulling for some 5* weps/constellations can be good

I think fate points are mostly a sunk cost thing, meant to make you pull more. but their actual impact is very situational.

In situations where I'd wish on a weapon banner, both 5★ would have to be desirable. After I get one of them, getting a second copy of that is usually bad. So I'd rarely go for a second, let alone a third 5★ pull.

Where they'd matter would be if I lose the initial 75:25, getting a standard banner weapon. Followed by the 5★ I didn't path towards. Then the third attempt would have full fate points.

So that's a 12.5% chance, if I have 200-ish pulls and want both 5★.

the weapons on all my supports and on Wanderer havent changed, only the const and by far there is a pretty small difference with my clear time in 12-1-1 with and without c2 Wanderer

Widsith for Lector is also good since u will use buffs for Rifthounds and by the time Lector is there, u will not need buffs since u only need to break shield.

Youll obtain the buff on the first wave, and the baptist wave

Which means you take down baptist faster

Shield wave doesnt make a diff so its not a big difference anyways
