Instructor 4set with Elegy, so far I can work around her weakness.
Thoma sadly hits like a wet noddle even at high investment.
XInyan's elem skill is still buggy.
Sayu is fine full EM/ER in my opinion specially after trying to use her alongside with Ayato
Aloy is just pure sadness though.

Indeed, Thoma really needs to be buffed. Kindly sad they wasted time and effort to design a character, then only ends up not being used by the majority of people.
Kazuha just straight up overshadow the rest in terms of flexibility, I only have him at C0, and his C2 is broken.
I use Sayu since i like trying out unpopular characters, but for Abyss I always use Kazuha and Venti. Sucrose if I'm running taser and Jean for Sunfire or Xiao team.
I hope after Sumeru they add like "strengthening" quest for characters like in other gacha games.
Sumeru seems to be a good place to implement this since that region is known for wisdom
