It ultimately wasn’t about them though. That’s kinda the point, the Fatui, the Tri-Commissions, the Resistance, none of it mattered in the face of Ei’s eternity.

Genshin will always focus story around individuals because that’s what gets people to spend on banners. Big groups/armies/movements will never do anything useful, and that’s kind of okay because it means we get great character development
