I think you're misunderstanding what I mean. Albedo is the first and still one of the only characters that you simply can't justify putting an Atk Sand on.

It does nothing for him that's positive except his initial burst hit.

Albedo is also arguably one of the only sub-dps that prefers not to have a crit hat as well.

He's completely different from almost everyone else in the game when it comes to optimal builds.

His BIS is a 3-star weapon. His optimal main stats are Def/Geo/Def (so he doesn't even 'stack' a stat the same way other characters with similar scalings do).

He's an absolute freak in the context of 'the way you normally build a character'.

And I love him because of that. Everyone needs to have Albedo if they don't get how 'the math' works in this game because if you want him to be good you are forced to learn something new and understand why it works.

VH makes him pretty much as low investment high yield as possible. He's the only character that actually uses the passive well, and even though he requires stupidly high investment, he scales really poorly with it (so it's not worth it unless he's over 80 + 8/8/8).
