Tao hurts herself to hurt others more, and has an aoe burst. Her best setup is on pc, not everyone has one. Lot of things go into tao being more and more broken. Yoimiya is a single target dps with plenty good support options. Hell, one of her better comps is with a fucking bird goddamnit. Her damage is fine, her setups are fine. But comparing her to a character that's broken in more ways than i can count on my fingers isnt fair. Yoimiya is a balanced character with self support options and cooperative support options.

I fully believe she'll be getting a small buff of some sort and I'll regret not pulling her. I really love her character, but I told myself if I was going to soft pity I'd have to pass.

I'm extremely invested in Pyro in general so my opinion is a bit tilted, I'm sure.

The biggest problem I have with her is the fact that there's no way to optimize her atk chain. There's no way to 'play her better'. You just have the gear, or you don't.

As long as you don't have to dodge out of the last 3 hits of her NA chain she holds up very well.

There's just some really goofy decisions they made with her (like her ICDs) that make her less desirable to me.

Which sucks, cuz I adore her as a character.

Also they just did her dirty af on the charge shot.

Yeah I don't level a character without full art sets anymore that are at least passable.

Pick a character you want to see just... busted af. Set your standard for their arts super high. Anything outside that standard goes to the next person down the list that can use it.

Keep doing that til you've either met your super high standard for you fav, or until you've geared literally every other character of that element you have.

Done it with VV and CW now. Every Anemo has a 4pc VV set. Every Pyro has at least 2pc CW.
