Ganyu is the most consistent damage dealing character in the game with a very easy setup and is arguable the most free to play friendly character. Hu tao is a dedicated character who takes lots more time and dedication than ganyu would. Artifact farming is a chore, but one of the arguably better weapons is one you can easily wish for. Both are strong powerhouses. One relies on no one but herself, the other relies semi-heavily for both survival and damage reasons on another character. If you choose hu tao, then by all means. But do note that ganyu is literally the easiest character to build
