Being overly bulky is just something that doesn't fit with the anime art style. Important characters are usually slender and elegant. It's just the way it is. If you want more bulky characters, because you enjoy it, that's fine, but you shouldn't attack other characters just because you feel like what you want yourself is underrepresented.
