I think it's important not to spend blindly on weapons but if you look at the math and it tilts more to the Homa or Mistsplitter side of the insaneity meter it's worth it for someone you love.

Homa is a like... 20-30% increase for Hu Tao.

Mist is a 20-30% increase for Ayaka. That's worth it, IMO.
